Set in 1st century Britain, this story follows the fortunes of Offa and his ambitions to establish trade links between the lands of his mother (South Wales) and the forces of the highly anticipated Roman invasion.
The Elfydd would use Offa to help them protect the Winter Forest and its bounty from those who would exploit it. Should the Roman Machine look its way, the forest and its folk face anhelation. Caradog - a man who understands only his own needs - stands between them and the Empire, and it is down to Offa and his followers to forge an unlikely unity that will keep the Romans at bay.
